If you have not paid your 2025 dues you are not entitled to participate in Post 178 activities to include meetings, canteen access, dining room purchases or any other Legion activities. An individual's Membership expires on December 31st of the paid year shown on their card.

Bingo is looking for volunteers to help out on Thursdays and Sundays.
  Contact the post or see Commander Harry Malpass or call 419 410 9046 if you can help.
  We need runners and callers.

The Riders will be having a cookout on October 2nd from 11:00am till 3:00pm

The Auxiliary is launching a campaign to honor all those who have served in the armed forces.
  A slide show will be created featuring pictures of any veteran who has served.
  Please submit a picture of your veteran (in uniform) so that he/she may be featured in our slide show. 

Pictures may be submitted two ways:

  1. Electronically to either jeanne.ala178@gmail.com or by text to 843-360-5870
  2. Placing a photograph in an envelope in the auxiliary mailbox with Jeanne on it. 

Please make sure that you include both the veteran's name, and your name and contact information.

We have two Raffles going on at the Post.

(1) Post having yearly FALL MONEY RAFFLE
     Grand Prize will be $ 1000.00
     10 other prizes will be awarded
     Tickets are $ 10.00 each
     Drawing to be held November 11th following Veterans Day Ceremony

(2) The Riders are raffling off a Charleston History Trip for Two
2 Night stay at the Francis Marion Hotel, $150 Meal gift card good at 5 Local Restaurants (see flyer), 2 Breakfast buffets at the Swamp Fox each day. Also 2 Tickets per night to your choice of Public Carriage Tour, Drayton Hall, Charleston Museum, Joseph Manigault House, or Heyward-Washington House. Tickets on sale at the Bar for $5.00 each and drawing will be held October 22nd at 7:00pm.

The Auxiliary is also having their Early Bird Membership Renewal.

Submit your 2026 membership renewal payment to the Auxiliary Membership Chairperson before Wednesday October 1st, 2025, and you will be entered into a drawing for one of three Prizes.
Third Place - 1 Year Paid Dues, Second Place - 2 Years Paid Dues, and First Place - 3 Years Paid Dues.

RED Shirt Friday is every Friday, (Remember Everyone Deployed) if you have your red shirt on?
Buy two domestic beers or two well drinks get one free from 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM.

We also have new Post T-Shirts in now in Red and Black.

If you are in the Building Fund and haven't put your money in yet you need to do so.

The New Attraction books are here, and are on sale at the bar for $25.00. They are good till 12/31/2026.

The DAV located at 2987 Church St., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 is open every Wednesday from 9am till 12pm to help with any claims for disability you have.

There is a Collection Box up by the weekly sign in sheet and are asking for any donations that you all would like to contribute; the money goes to the Veterans and Children's Foundation.

Weekly Activities:

1. Bingo every Sunday and Thursday starting at 6:00 PM.
     Our Auxiliary will have food and other refreshments for sale.

2. Bowling is each Monday.  Sign in starts at 3:30 PM, bowling starts at 4:00 PM.
    The kitchen will be open until 6:00 PM. 

3. Team Trivia for October will be on Monday the 6th, 13th and 20th at 6:00 PM.

4. Wednesday night's dinner this week will be provided by the LaFemmes.
     Meal will be Pork Medallions, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Vegetable for $11.00. Karaoke at 7pm.

5. Friday night's dinner will be Steaks on the Grille, Potato and Vegetable for $20.00
     Flounder for $14.00.   Karaoke at 6pm.

6. Lunch is served Monday through Saturday this week from 11 AM to 2:30 PM.
    We need your support in the dining room.
    Tuesday Night Wings & Tacos!! Be sure to see our daily lunch specials near dining room entrance.

7. Take out and curbside delivery is currently available.
    Call ahead to order and then let us know when you are outside.  843-651-8784.
