If you have not paid your 2026 dues you are not entitled to participate in Post 178 activities to include meetings, canteen access, dining room purchases or any other Legion activities. An individual's Membership expires on December 31st of the paid year shown on their card.
Staff, to include bartenders, can request presentation of current year membership card
for purchases and deny entry to anyone without current year membership.
► On January 1st a member is considered delinquent.
► On February 1st, if dues not paid, member is suspended.
► On June 30th, member dropped from Post 178 membership rolls.
The Auxiliary is sponsoring their annual Spring Craft Fair Saturday May 2nd, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (rain date Sunday May 3rd). Also big homemade Bake Sale in our dining room. It's a fundraiser for Veteran programs in our community. Come out and support our Veterans.
We are having the American Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday May 18th at the Post.

Post 178 Spring Raffle if going on at the post. Tickets are eight for $5.00.
Drawings to be held on Saturday May 30th following our Annual Memorial Day Ceremony.
The nomination list for Legion Officers and Legionnaire of the Years are on the wall outside the office.
Elections will be held at the May 9th Post Meeting.
The Rider will be having their annual Bike Week Cookout on Wednesday May 13th. Come out and support our Riders.
The Riders are collection items for the Fisher House down in Charleston.

Annual American Legion Department of South Carolina Rifle Raffle is going on now tickets are available at the Bar $25.00 and Post keeps $10.00.

40&8 Breakfast every Sunday from 8:00AM till 11:00AM until Mother's Day.
This coming Sunday we will be open for Breakfast at 6:30 AM instead of 8:00 AM to support the ALR Legacy Ride to Columbia which is leaving from the Post at 8:00 AM.
Veterans Emergency Relief Fund.
We are pleased to report that we are starting a new fund to help Veterans in financial need. This is due to a contribution from a member of the Post. It will be named the Veterans Emergency Relief Fund or Jan’s Fund for short. Only Veterans of Post 178 will be eligible, and they must be able to demonstrate an actual financial emergency such as unpaid utility bills, medical bills, transportation costs, grocery shortages, etc. Each case will be vetted individually, and documentation will be required when available. In some cases, the Veteran may be accompanied by a member of the Post when they need to buy something such as groceries or medical appliances. Remember RED Shirt Friday is every Friday, (Remember Everyone Deployed) if you have your red shirt on? Buy two domestic beers or two well drinks get one free from 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM. We also have new Post T-Shirts in now in Red and Black.
If you are in the Building Fund and haven't put your money in yet you need to do so.
The DAV located at 2987 Church St., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 is open every Wednesday from 9am till 2pm to help with any claims for disability you have.
There is a Collection Box up by the weekly sign in sheet and are asking for any donations that you all would like to contribute; the money goes to the Veterans and Children's Foundation.
Bingo is looking for volunteers to help out on Thursdays and Sundays.

Weekly Activities:
- Bingo every Sunday and Thursday starting at 6:00 PM. Our Auxiliary will have food and other refreshments for sale. Come out and support the post.
- Bowling is each Monday. Sign in starts at 3:30 PM, bowling starts at 4:00 PM. The kitchen will be open until 6:00 PM.
- Team Trivia for April will be on Monday the 6th, and the 13th at 06 :00PM.
- Wednesday night's dinner this week will be provided by the SAL and will be Pulled Pork, Baked Beans, and Cold Slaw for $11.00. Karaoke follows the weekly drawing.
- Friday night's dinner this week will be Pot Roast, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy and Vegetable for $15.00. Flounder for $14.00. Karaoke at 6pm.
- Lunch is served Monday through Saturday this week from 11: AM to 2:30 PM. We need your support in the dining room. Tuesday Night Wings & Tacos!! Be sure to see our daily lunch specials near dining room entrance.
- Take out and curbside delivery is currently available. Call ahead to order and then let us know when you are outside. 843-651-8784.
